South Africa is a country on the southernmost tip of the African continent, marked by several distinct ecosystems. Inland safari destination Kruger National Park covers vast shrublands populated by big game; the Western Cape encompasses lush winelands around Stellenbosch and Paarl, wild beaches, craggy cliffs at the Cape of Good Hope, forest and lagoons along the Garden Route, and the city of Cape Town, beneath flat-topped Table Mountain making it the number 1 tourists’ destination in Africa.

In South Africa, the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean meet off the Southern Cape coast. There is snow in winter and you even could go skiing in South Africa.

Sandton City

Sandton City is a shopping Center located in Sandton, Johannesburg. Originally founded and owned by the property development company Rapp and Maister, the center opened its doors to the public on September 12, 1973.

One of the best places to visit is the Nelson Mandela Square – a public square and shopping centre with a statue of Nelson Mandela.

Other amazing places to visit are: Montecasino, SAB World of beer, Liliesleaf farm and Johannesburg Botanical Garden

Table Mountain

Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa, and is featured in the Flag of Cape Town and other local government insignia.

Looking at it from below is one thing, but it is quite another to be atop the mountain, from where one is afforded such wonderful views of Cape Town, Robben Island, the Peninsula and beyond.

The Big Hole

The Big Hole, Open Mine, Kimberley Mine or Tim Kuilmine is an open-pit and underground mine in Kimberley, South Africa, and claimed to be the largest hole excavated by hand. A huge yield of 3,000 kilograms diamonds has been recovered from the Big Hole.

It is a tourism attraction and appears to be the theme of ‘Diamonds and Destiny’ where there has been witnessed a gradual increase in the number of visitors.

Boulders Beach

Boulders Beach is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, from which the name originated. It is located in the Cape Peninsula, near Simon’s Town towards Cape Point, near Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Penguins can be seen at the beach which has become a tourists’ attraction since they came to the shores of Africa

The Apartheid Museum

The Apartheid Museum is a museum complex in Johannesburg, South Africa dedicated to illustrating apartheid and the 20th century history of South Africa. The complex, owned by Gold Reef City Casino, was opened in November 2001.

The Apartheid museum is dedicated to the entire period of Apartheid, its history, how people lived, and the significant events of the times.

Lion Park

Lion Park is a 2 km² wildlife conservation enclosure in Gauteng province in South Africa for Transvaal lions. The Lion Park is situated near Lanseria Airport and Fourways within distance of Johannesburg and Pretoria.

The Lion Park is a very worthwhile tourist attraction for visitors to Gauteng. The best part is that, unlike at most game reserves, you are guaranteed an encounter with lions, and you can cuddle lion cubs in a special enclosure.
